iTunes Festival - Rachel Furner & Pixie Lott
As soon as the clock struck 5 at Miss Selfridge Head Office last night (and after a quick attempt to make ourselves look beautiful) we were on the tube heading up to Camden to see the latest iTunes Festival gig. We couldn't wait to see the show, and judging by the size of the queue outside the venue, we weren't the only ones.
With Pixie Lott headlining and rising star Rachel Furner supporting we knew we were in for a real treat, and we weren't disappointed. The girls were dressed to impress, both choosing prom style dresses with layers of pretty petticoats piled underneath.
Two fabulous girls with two incredible voices - they had the crowds in the palm of their hands the moment they stepped on stage. With Rachel's piano pop and Pixie's well-loved tunes the Roundhouse was rocking!
We just hope our competition winners had as much fun as we did!

Ruffles/Frills
This summer, girls in the know have adopted a fab new party trend. Frills and ruffles have been spotted on everything from skirts and blouses to dresses and accessories.
Adding a gentle frill, or an all out statement ruffle to an otherwise simple outfit is a sure fire way to earn extra style points as Nina Dobrev, star of TV series Vampire Diaries proves. Take a leaf out of the fashionista's book, and layer on the style in piles of pretty ruffles.

WIN tickets to the iTunes Festival to see rising star Rachel Furner
A couple of weeks ago we invited the very talented singer/songwriter Rachel Furner into our Oxford Street store to kit her out for her summer festival performances. As a thank you, Rachel has been kind enough to give us 5 pairs of tickets to see her at the iTunes Festival supporting Pixie Lott on Tuesday 20th July at the Roundhouse, London.
18 year old Rachel has been singing, writing songs and playing the piano since she was 8 years old. She has already stepped on stage with the likes of Justin Beiber and Pixie Lott as well as recently playing Glastonbury Festival, Oxygen and T in the Park. This weekend you can catch her at Lattitude Festival as well as the upcoming V Festival and Bestival.

Jackets & Gilets
After a few glorious weeks, the sun no longer has his hat on - boo! But it does mean we get to play dress up with stylish new jackets and gilets - yay!
The summer sun is being as un-reliable as always and we've been left staring into our wardrobes every morning, hoping for some divine inspiration. It's still a little too hot for a coat but a little too chilly to go without.
Luckily, this season has provided us with the perfect answer - the gilet! Whether you go with a sleek leather effect style or a relaxed denim version, the sleeveless jacket - or gilet - will be the answer to your prayers!
Hollywood star Jessica Alba has already been spotted out and about in both styles, proving once and for all that function can also mean fabulous!

T4 On The Beach
Though we've been truly spoilt in recent weeks with the glorious sunshine, it was going to take a lot more than a few clouds and a spot of drizzle to dampen our spirits at this weekend's T4 On The Beach. Gloomy skies aside, it was a summer sensation!
All the hottest acts were on the line up, including The Saturdays, Pixie Lott, N-Dubz, JLS and Ellie Goulding, and we could hardly contain our excitement as we headed off to Weston-super-Mare for a day of fun and tunes.
We were lucky enough to be set up backstage. So although we missed out on some of the top notch performances, we more than made up for it by chatting to the stars while they browsed rail upon rail of the top picks from our summer collection, not to mention an abundance of gorgeous jewellery by Diva.
N-Dubz Tulisa was so impressed with the selection, she couldn't wait to take her goodies home and changed in to one of our summer dresses right there and then! And it wasn't just the girls that couldn't resist our rails. JLS were among a number of boys that carefully selected some beautiful pieces for their nearest and dearest.
As well as the performers that made a visit to our pop up store, the stars from Skins, Hollyoaks and T4 presenters also came over to say hello. With so much celeb spotting going on we didn't want you to miss out, so we dedicated our day to snapping away at the stars.

Hats off to Glasto
With a line up that seems to better itself each year, Glasto is the king of festivals.
So it's no suprise that each year celebs flock to the muddy Somerset fields that are home to the event. And with top acts this year, including Muse, Scissor Sisters, Snoop Dogg and Stevie Wonder (who closed the show on Sunday) no one was left disappointed.
This year saw the event celebrate its 40th birthday and festival regulars such as Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Jade Jagger were all there to help celebrate the occassion.
With such a starry line up of performers and guests, the style on display was almost as exciting as the music! And with the sun shining and temperatures soaring over the weekend, it was no suprise that this year's accessory of choice was a hat! Trend setters Jameela Jamil, Kelly Osbourne and Sienna Miller were all spotted rocking a classic laid-back festival style, finished off with an on-trend trilby.
