London is full of little cupcake cafés and they’re multiplying and popping up on street corners everywhere! They’re the perfect place to meet up with your friends on a Saturday afternoon or for a naughty treat on your way home from work. When we discover such local hidden gems as Violet Café in Hackney, we don’t like to keep them to ourselves. Violet is my local, undiscovered and unbelievably cute teeny weeny café, full of mouth watering delights.
Stepping into the little cafe, I’m greeted by a counter full of New York style cup cakes, Whoopie Pies, Salted Caramel Cake and Marshmallow Cupcakes anyone?! On my last visit I chose a salted caramel cake (Which was delicious by the way!), which came served on miss-matched vintage plates and tea in miniature bowls which reminded me of tea time at my Nana's house!
A visit to Violet Cakes is the perfect place to lull away a few hours on a lazy afternoon, drinking tea and devouring Violet's selection of cakes and fashionable reading material.....Enjoy!
